Unlike many venues, SPHC takes pride in offering clear, upfront pricing with exceptional value for money packages.


You simply hire the venue at the session rate detailed below, then customise your event by selecting from our range of optional extras, including decorations, entertainment, catering, and drinks. 

Due to the size of the venue and required number of staff to operate, we do not offer hourly hire options of The Grand Hall

Please note we can not offer hourly hire options on Fridays or Saturdays due to the required room set ups for large events

What's included

Included within the hire fees quoted above is everything detailed below.

 

  • Exclusive Use of The Terrace (subject to weather conditions)
  • All Bar and Front of House Staff
  • Up to 15 - 5 Foot Round Tables covered with Black Table Covers (set as 10 guests per table)
  • Up to 150 Black pad and Silver Framed Banquet Chairs (Chair covers can be provided at a surcharge if required, see options below)
  • Colour controlled Room Uplighting
  • Modern Sprung Dance Floor
  • Use of Easel upon Entry for any seating plan or welcome message
  • Dressed Buffet Table located within the main hall (if required)
  • Dressed Gift Table (if required)
  • Access to internal Sound system if required (bluetooth device connectivity required)

Your room will be set up as agreed with your event manager before your scheduled session time. If required, the bar will be fully staffed from the moment your guests arrive, and the venue will be adjusted to the ideal event temperature 30 minutes prior to your agreed guest arrival time.


Due to the setup requirements of a venue of this size, The Grand Hall is not available for hourly hire and can only be booked within the designated hire packages detailed below.

Delicious Party Buffets

Our locally sourced, homemade party buffets are prepared daily by our fabulous caterers and leave our guests amazed at the quality (and quantity) of what we offer.

Chair Covers & Sashes

Give our banquet chairs the extra wow factor by including either black or white chair covers.  A range of sashes can also be added if you wish to compliment your events colour scheme.

In House Party DJ

Our in house Party DJ will have the dance floor filled and the venue Bouncing through a mix of classic party anthems and floor fillers.  Our DJ will liase with you prior to the party to ensure your personal tastes are accomodated.  DJ Price: £250

Photo Booths and other items

We work with a range of local suppliers who can offer everything you could possibly imagine from Photo Booths, LED Dancefloors, Flower Walls, Balloons arches, table decorations..... You name it, we can get it!

Our event manager can discuss these options with you when booking your party.

Big Screen System

Does your event require the use of a HUGE screen to show photos, videos, presentations etc?  Well we have you covered!


We proudly can now offer access to a  19 ft x 8.5ft big screen projector system that certainly has the WOW factor

Drink Packages

Many parties hosted here at St Peters Hall include arrival drinks, drink tokens that can be redeemed at the bar for a choice of drinks or table drinks included for their guests. 


This is a great addition to any party or event and creates a great welcome for your guests.

Catering Options

We proudly work alongside many of the best local caterers who can offer bespoke and specialist catering options for your celebration or event.  If you wish to use an external caterer a Kitchen Fee will be added onto your booking detailed below in order to cover useage and associated costs.

  • What are my Catering Options

    We are also proud to work with many local amazing caterers that can provide you with a range of cuisines and to many budgets.  

  • Can I Supply my own Food?

    No, we do not allow any 'self catered' or 'community catered' events due to licensing, insurance & recycling guidelines.

  • What Time is The Bar Open Until

    Our Bar is open until 11.30pm for any Friday or Saturday Bookings and 10.30pm Sunday - Thursday

  • Can I bring my own Alcohol

    No, we are not permitted to offer this to any of our bookings, however a fully stocked Bar is located within The Grand Hall, all bar staff are included within the hire fee as well as supply of all glassware and service. 


    If you wish to arrange any pre purchased alcoholic drinks or packages for your guests this can be arranged with your event manager.

  • My event will not have alcohol, can I bring my own soft drinks?

    Yes, this can be arranged when booking the venue. events do not require the sale of alcohol during the booking. 


    If your event does not require the bar, the bar will remain closed with shutters down and the organiser can supply soft drinks for the tables throughout the event.

  • Do I have to use your in house DJ or can I use my own?

    Due to complex licensing conditions here at SPHC, we can only work with our registered DJ's who are aware of all logistic and licensing regulations around such an old building.


    We can supply a wide range of DJ's catering to all music styles, cultures and individual preferances.  Please speak to your event manager for more information.

  • Is Live Music Permitted

    Yes, we have 50 meter squared stage that is the perfect backdrop for any live bands or musicians.


    Live Music must be played within the parameters of our venue license, so please ensure the band or artist you are looking to book can conform to the regulations associated to SPHC's specific licensce.


    We will need to speak to the artists prior to your booking in order to ensure everything is in place for them to perform and will require all relevant documentation including PAT Testing & Insurance Certificates.

  • Are There Parking Facilities?

    Unfortunately we do not offer any on site parking facilities for guests due to the need for the limited spaces we have being needed for supplier vehicles, however we are surrounded by multiple parking options that are free of charge from 4pm with other 'pay and display' options conveniently located in close proximity to SPHC
